Head coach Ernesto Valverde had a significant distraction of Andres Iniesta’s announcement he would be leaving the club this summer in the build-up to the game – but Barcelona have shrugged off plenty in a season which has seen them snatch a 30-year-old La Liga record for unbeaten matches.
If Real Madrid fail to beat Leganes at home on Saturday and Atletico do not win in their trip to Alaves on Sunday, Barca will be champions before their game in Galicia kicks off later that day.
First-place Barcelona takes on struggling Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday in La Liga play, as Lionel Messi and company aim to zero in on the league title.

Andres Iniesta has confirmed he will depart from Barcelona this summer and will be hoping to make the most of his remaining games with Deportivo up next.
The Spanish hero has spent 22 years at Barcelona and provided the foundations for world domination alongside Lionel Messi and Xavi.
With the league title secured, he will be given every chance to go out with a bang – but who else will start for Barca this weekend?
Sergi Samper is the only injury worry, while Sergi Roberto is suspended after being sent off against Celta Vigo.
His replacement Nelson Semedo will slot into his position, with Iniesta expected to patrol the left flank and his heir to the throne, Philippe Coutinho, on the right.
Barcelona (first place; 83 points) can inch closer to the title with three points here, but even a draw won’t do any damage. As for Deportivo (18th place; 28 points), a win is a must if they have any hopes of staying in the top flight, but even winning the rest of their matches still wouldn’t keep them up as they enter the day 12 points from the safe zone.
Even if they are victorious, if Barcelona avoid defeat they would guarantee their third league title in four years.
Despite that, there have been questions over the future of manager Ernesto Valverde, after Barca’s embarrassment in the Champions League quarter-finals against Roma.
President Josep Maria Bartomeu told El Larguero: “It’s his project, we’re not talking about it. Someone will have said it, but not the board or the club.
“Nobody doubts Valverde, not after Rome. To recover from defeats, success is assured. A double closes an excellent season.
With the Copa won and no Champions League football left, Valverde will pick a strong side for the game at Deportivo on Sunday.
Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi will start in attack, with Nelson Semedo in for the suspended Sergi Roberto at right-back.
Andres Iniesta, who gave an emotional press conference on Friday to confirm he will be leaving the club this summer, will play in midfield where Paulinho, Philippe Coutinho and Sergio Busquets are also set to feature.
Deportivo’s hopes of avoiding relegation are fading fast, with Clarence Seedorf’s side down in 18th place ahead of the 35th round of matches.
Back-to-back 3-2 wins over Athletic Club and Malaga had given Depor a boost, but their last two matches (versus Sevilla and Leganes) have ended goalless and they are nine points behind 17th-placed Levante.
Defeat for Deportivo and just a point for Levante (who are at home to Sevilla on Friday) will see the Galicians relegated.
Eneko Boveda is sidelined for Seedorf’s side, while Adrian Lopez, Sulley Muntari, Sidnei and Zakaria Bakkali are all doubtful.
