Golovkin vs Martirosyan Live

Golovkin vs Martirosyan Live Online:

Gennady Golovkin vs. Vanes Martirosyan Official Weigh-in – Undefeated world middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin returns to HBO and a Southern California boxing ring for the first time in over two years. Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs), from Karaganda, Kazakhstan, and boxing’s longest-reigning world champion (since 2010) will attempt to add his name to the history books when he makes his 20th consecutive and record-tying title defense.

Martirosyan replaced Canelo Alvarez after his drug ban and takes on GGG in the big match up tonight.

Canelo tested positive for a banned substance, clenbuterol, in two tests administered by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency in February and was subsequently suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

The man standing in his way will be two-time world title challenger Vanes “The Nightmare ” Martirosyan (36-3-1, 21 KOs), from Glendale, Calif. The 2004 Olympians collide Saturday, May 5, under the stars at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. The middleweight title fight will be televised live on HBO beginning at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. The telecast will open with the Cecilia Braekhus vs. Kali Reis world female welterweight championship rumble. It is the first time HBO has televised a women’s bout live.

The Mexican had to withdraw from the fight but GGG scrambled to find an opponent for this date.

Golovkin was hugely critical of Canelo and branded him a terrible man.

“He is nothing, forget him,” the 36-year-old said.

“Canelo, of course like everybody said, he’s huge Mexican star.

“Last press conference he said ‘I can’t, I’m sorry, I apologise, it’s my fault.’

“This is crazy, you know, this is crazy for people.

“He’s not sorry, no. He’s not a huge ambassador for boxing. He’s terrible man!”

Loeffler jumped in to quickly reiterate Golovkin’s mission statement — regardless of title defense record or not, big name opponent or late replacement — remains on doing one thing.

“I think [the middleweight record] is bigger for everyone on the team, like Abel Sanchez and myself,” Loeffler said. “We understand the historic perspective of what Gennady has accomplished in his career and could potentially accomplish on Saturday and be successful in another title defense. He just wanted to fight. He told me he didn’t care who and he didn’t care where just, ‘I want to fight on Cinco de Mayo,’ and that was my job.”

While Hopkins has yet to form a public rebuttal to Golovkin’s comments, Sanchez believes his fighter gets the nod historically as a middleweight due to his variety of opposition.

“If you look at [Golovkin’s] record, he hasn’t had any rematches in there,” Sanchez said. “Everybody he fought has been a new opponent. The great Bernard Hopkins fought twice against [Antwun] Echols and three times against Robert Allen. We are fighting new guys every time. By tying it, and if he decides to stay at middleweight and break the record in the future, is great for boxing history and good for historians to look back upon.”

Golovkin has no shortage of potential next opponents. Jermall Charlo became mandatory WBC challenger having stopped Hugo Centeno Jr in New York, while Danny Jacobs put his name in the mix for a rematch against the Kazak after beating Maciej Sulęcki and becoming WBA mandatory. After the Canelo pull out the IBF stated they will allow Golovkin to remain champion but insisted he will have to face Derevyanchenko should he be victorious.

With Canelo’s suspension set to expire in September, a rematch between the Mexican and Golovkin could be a huge possibility as promoter Oscar De La Hoya said he expects the two to meet in. Finally, WBO titlist Billy Joe Saunders holds the final belt for a complete middleweight unification. The Brit takes on fellow countryman Martin Murray on June 23 in the fourth defence of his title, but the winner of the two bouts could meet for a showdown with the chance to become undisputed champion at stake.

And, if Martirosyan is to cause the upset, he has all those contenders to look forward to.

Josesito Lopez vs Miguel Cruz

Josesito Lopez vs Miguel Cruz Live Stream :

Today, FOX Sports announces former multiple-division world champion Robert Guerrero joins blow-by-blow announcer Sean Grande to call PREMIER BOXING CHAMPIONS: LOPEZ VS. CRUZ live on FOX Saturday, April 28 (8:30 PM ET), from the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas. Jordan Hardy serves as ringside reporter, while Ray Flores handles ring announcing. On FOX Deportes, Jaime Motta joins blow-by-blow announcer Jesse Losada to call the action in Spanish.

Josesito Lopez and Miguel Cruz are fighters at very different stages of the warrior lifecycle. This Saturday night on a FOX-televised card (8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT) at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas, the two will meet in a 10-round welterweight battle to see if one battling lineage ends at the expense of another’s beginning.

Josesito Lopez vs Miguel Cruz -Live Premier Boxing Champions

Lopez (35-7, 19 KOs), from Riverside, California and nicknamed the “Riverside Rocky” for good reason, has had a career full of thrilling wars and blue collar-honest battles. The fifteen-year veteran has been in the ring with stars such as Jessie Vargas, Victor Ortiz, Saul Alvarez, Marcos Maidana, and Andre Berto—and has given all of them a tenacious fight.

The main event features a 10-round welterweight matchup between rugged veteran Josesito Lopez (35-7, 19 KOs) and unbeaten contender Miguel Cruz (17-0, 11 KOs). In the co-main event, former super middleweight world champion Anthony Dirrell (31-1-1, 24 KOs) faces El Paso’s Abraham Han (26-3-1, 16 KOs) in a 10-round 168-pound skirmish. In addition, unbeaten Mexican featherweight contender Jorge Lara (29-0-1, 21 Kos) clashes with Dominican brawler Claudio Marrero (22-2, 16 Kos) in the 10-round opening bout.

Fans can live stream the fights on FOX Sports GO, available in English or Spanish through the FOX or FOX Deportes feeds. The fight is available on desktop at FOXSportsGO.com and through the app store, or connected devices including Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Xbox One and Roku. In addition, fights are also available on FOX Sports on SiriusXM channel 83 on satellite radios and on the SiriusXM app.

Lopez’s technical vulnerabilities, along with the wear and tear on his body, make him a large target for emerging stars and, from this point forward, there will be a mad dash to test the Mexican-American’s professional pride.

A straight-line fighter with plenty of defensive liabilities, Lopez is like a lot of tough-as-nails battlers who rely on will and strength of character to see them through rough times. In born warriors, the ability to withstand and overcome makes defensive grace and nuance an afterthought—and the former world title challenger certainly fits the bill of someone conditioned to walk through walls rather than skillfully maneuver around them.

But the Riverside Rocky is not entirely without skill.

Lopez has a solid jab and, at least until things get heated, an underrated ability to control space and distance in the ring. Despite being a right hand-dominant fighter, he also has a deceptively effective left hook, which often takes opponents by surprise.

When push comes to shove, though, Lopez becomes who he is and fan-friendly wars ensue. This is when he becomes vulnerable to stronger, quicker, larger, and/or better-skilled opponents.

Miguel Cruz aims to be the type of fighter who can get past Lopez and move on to the elite of the division.

“I have respect for what Josesito’s done in the game, but at the end of the day, this is the premier division in boxing. I feel I’m one of the best guys at 147 and I will come out on top,” Cruz said.

“People are going to know my name after Saturday night.”

The fighter of Boricua descent has fairly heavy hands, but doesn’t seem to carry true one-punch power. He is also an assertive, come-forward presence, but not quite a pressure fighter in the truest sense of the word.

Cruz’s defects mostly fall in the area of defense and other basic fundamentals. Balance issues stemming from a legs-wide-apart stance rob him of some leverage on punches and also keep him from being effective in pursuit of more mobile opponents. The need to reach in against foes that maintain distance makes him susceptible to counters—and he has shown himself vulnerable to being marked up by flush shots.

heavyweight Dillian Whyte is disappointed the WBC has ordered he fight WBC#4 heavyweight Luis Ortiz for the mandatory position.”I’ve fought for every single belt the WBC said I was eligible for. I’m one of the only guys in the WBC who has followed the proper procedure. I fought many eliminators, and many WBC ranking fights. I’ve been loyal to the WBC for about two years,” Whyte told Sky Sports.

“I’ve had the sanctioning fights, I’ve done everything they have asked me to do. My information was – I was meant to be next in line. If anything, the WBC should be ordering me and Breazeale to fight in a final eliminator to face Wilder.

“I’ve had loads of WBC fights and they’ve always been against top contenders. [Dereck] Chisora, Helenius, Browne. These haven’t been against mugs, they have been against top contenders, who are highly ranked in the WBC as well. We’re going to try and see what we can do, and see whether or not we can reach some sort of agreement with the WBC. I’m very, very disappointed and annoyed. I feel betrayed by the WBC to be honest.

Miller (20-0-1, 18 KOs) is facing Duhaupas (37-4, 24 KOs) in the opening bout of this telecast, which is an eliminator for the WBA heavyweight world title, which is currently held by Anthony Joshua. Of course with the WBA, things always get a little confusing: Joshua holds their “super” title, which is widely acknowledged as the “real” world title, while Manuel Charr holds their “regular” belt. One assumes the winner of Miller-Duhaupas will then be in line to face Joshua; or will it set him up to face Charr? It’s tough to say.

While Duhaupas is a solid fighter, he is now 37 years old and has been stopped by Deontay Wilder (in 2015) and Alexander Povetkin (a year later). Meanwhile, Miller is only 29 and has been tearing through his opposition, aided by his massive size.

Jacobs (33-2, 29 KOs) faces solid contender Sulecki (26-0, 10 KOs) in the main event. Sulecki fought his last three bouts at junior middleweight, and is a good fighter with a somewhat classic European style. But against a highly skilled boxer like Jacobs, I expect the Brooklynite will figure out Sulecki’s timing and movements relatively quickly. On top of that, Sulecki is about an inch taller than Jacobs’ 6’0” but he doesn’t fight tall, which is not a good thing against an experienced fighter like Jacobs.

Gonzalez, who suffered a cut over his left eye in the opening round, pinned Lopez on the ropes numerous times and dug both hands to the body.

After a few rounds, however, the Mexican’s punches seemed to lose power, and Lopez surged ahead, countering effectively from long range.

In the TV opener, middleweight Magdiel Cotto, of Comerio, Puerto Rico, won a majority six-round decision over Elie Augustama, of Miami. Augustama (6-8, 3 KOs) fought hard but was outworked by Cotto (9-0, 7 KOs). The scores were 57-57, 58-56 and 58-56.

The main event is my pick this week: Lopez (35-7, 19 KOs) is a 15-year pro and has faced some of the best welterweights in the world. Cruz (17-0, 11 KOs) is a young contender on his way up. Lopez will be a major step up for Cruz and provide a great test for the 27-year-old, and the match-up should be a sufficient gauge as to how much the hard-fighting, 33-year-old Lopez has left.

WWE Greatest Royal Rumble

WWE Greatest Royal Rumble:  WWE is making their presence felt in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27. Greatest Royal Rumble Details: The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia has instituted a major investment effort to get accelerated sports activity in his country, and earlier this year entered into a ten-year deal with WWE as part of that.

WWE pushed the event as hard as any they’ve ever promoted on television, referencing the program at least a dozen times on the most recent episode of WWE Raw. According to those that Fightful.com spoke to, WWE is looking to make this a special event to reflect the “too good to be true” money that they’re being paid for the event, as the amount is significant. As of now, only this event has been planned for the agreement, and we don’t know how future shows in Saudi Arabia will be configured.

What we do know is that a special stage is being constructed for the event, special attraction talent has been booked, an unusual Friday was booked, and that many championship matches were added to make the Greatest Royal Rumble seem like a once-in-a-lifetime event, just three weeks after WWE’s annual WrestleMania extravaganza.

The Greatest Royal Rumble will be headlined by its namesake – an over-the-top-rope elimination match where two men start in the ring, and are joined at set intervals by new competitors, until only one man is left standing. “The Greatest Royal Rumble” will feature a 50-man iteration, the largest in history. Typically a 30-man match, the initial version had only 20, but has had as many as 40 entrants for a one-time project in 2012. Thus far Daniel Bryan, Braun Strowman, Kane, Big Show, Bray Wyatt, Kurt Angle, Baron Corbin, Chris Jericho, Big E, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, Shelton Benjamin, Sin Cara, Elias, Chad Gable, Goldust, Apollo, Titus O’Neil, Mojo Rawley, Dolph Ziggler are all set for the match.

Greatest Royal Rumble: Title & Non-Title Matches
That’s far from the only major attraction set for The Greatest Royal Rumble. In a rematch of two WrestleMania main events, WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will defend his title against former WWE Champion Roman Reigns.

Two big non-title matches have also been booked. Triple H vs. John Cena will go down on television for the first time in years, in a match that once headlined WrestleMania 22 way back in 2006. The Undertaker will be in action against “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev, in Undertaker’s signature Casket Match – his first in over a decade.

Even though WWE is heading overseas, the United States will still be represented, when new Smackdown talent and United States Champion Jeff Hardy will provide former champ Jinder Mahal with his rematch for the title. Mahal and Hardy switched brands, and Randy Orton is waiting in the wings for the winner, as he’s also owed a title rematch in the coming weeks.

The Usos look for revenge against the Bludgeon Brothers, and hope to take back their Smackdown Tag Team Championships after weeks of torture. The currently vacant WWE Raw Tag Team Titles will be decided when former champions The Bar will take on the Deleter of Worlds, which serves as both a contractually obligated rematch for the former, and a tournament prize for the latter. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander will also seek to successfully defend his newly won title.

In all, seven title matches in all are confirmed, including many that have major ramifications moving forward. With some matches already set for the following week’s WWE Backlash show, and a WWE Superstar Shakeup that has sent several of the booked Superstars to new brands, we’ll witness many rare interpromotional matches between WWE’s Raw and Smackdown brands. The Raw Tag Team Championship, the Intercontinental Championship, The WWE United States Championship will all be contested with stars from both Raw and Smackdown participating.

Speaking of the Intercontinental Championship, it will be decided for the first time since 2016 in a ladder match, where one of the four combatants will have to scale a ladder to capture the title, handing from the ceiling. This will be the seventeenth Intercontinental title ladder match in WWE history, which dates back to the origins of the match in the company as Shawn Michaels faced Bret Hart and Razor Ramon respectively in the first three WWF ladder matches for the title.

Fightful.com will have full, live coverage and discussion of the Greatest Royal Rumble, which kicks off at Noon eastern time on Friday, April 27 from Jeddah Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah International Stadium on the WWE Network. Author’s take: The match card is loaded and the stage is set. The event is definitely a must-watch for all WWE fans. Who knows, this event might actually end up topping WrestleMania?

A couple of months ago, WWE announced that there would be a 50-man Royal Rumble match happening at a special event in Saudi Arabia. In the weeks that followed, the event has shaped up to be one of the biggest in recent WWE history.

There are ten matches already announced for the event, with seven Championships on the line and even a rare appearance by The Undertaker, where he will take on Rusev in a Casket Match.

The heart of the matter
We are just two days away from the event and some videos have emerged online of the stage set-up of the Greatest Royal Rumble. To say that the stage looks amazing would be an understatement, as you can see for yourself below. Thanks to Wrestling Inc. for the videos.
