Tottenham vs Watford battle it out in the Premier League on Monday evening at Wembley.

Spurs come into this fixture having recently exited the FA Cup at the semi-final stage in a 2-1 loss to Manchester United last weekend, and they’ll be looking to put that disappointment behind them here quickly. Up for grabs for them now is one of those coveted top four spots.

Following their FA Cup exit at the hands of Manchester United last weekend, the club are guaranteed to extend their barren spell without a trophy into an 11th season, and after the game Mauricio Pochettino hinted he may leave the club.

But ahead of hosting Watford on Monday night, live on Sky Sports Premier League from 7pm, the Argentine said he was staying firmly put.

The Hornets striker left Vicarage Road in a protective boot following the goalless draw with Crystal Palace last weekend.

Some reports suggested Deeney’s season was over as a result of the injury, but speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Gracia revealed the 29-year-old is in line to feature at Wembley.

Gracia took charge at Vicarage Road on January 21 but has yet to see his side score away from home.

That is a run of six games and is something that needs addressing to end a poor run of form for Watford – who have taken only two points from their last six matches.

Jermaine Jenas opened the scoring with a header from a Pascal Chimbonda cross in the 41st minute. But then, in the 63rd minute, from a free-kick only five yards outside his own penalty box, Robinson launched the ball up the field.

And, it only went and bounced over Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster’s head into the back of the net. The Spurs fans erupted into cheers and laughter, much like the incredibly surprised Robinson in this photo!

Later on in the match, Spurs added another through Hossam Ghaly, before Watford got a consolation goal through Darius Henderson in the 89th minute. The 3-1 victory sent Tottenham to a respectable sixth in the league, while Watford continued to languish in 20th place.

A lengthy injury list means Deeney’s fitness is even more important for Gracia, who believes a tough test at Wembley could be just what his players need to address their slide.

“I think the players feel good and they are good players. These stadiums are the best opportunity to show our level and try to have a good performance,” said Gracia.

“For sure, it can be a positive experience, but for us the most important thing is not where we play but trying to do good work and trying to get a good result wherever we play.

Potential Tottenham Starting Lineup: Lloris; Tripper, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Moura, Alli, Eriksen; Kane.

The Hornets have lost three of their four visits to Wembley – including both at the new Wembley against Crystal Palace – winning the other in May 1999 against Bolton in the second-tier play-off final.

Spurs have scored in each of their last 22 Premier League games – they last had a longer run of scoring in the top-flight in April 1987 (26 games).

Watford have lost their last seven Premier League matches in London since winning 2-1 against Arsenal in January 2017.

The Hornets have failed to score in four of their last six Premier League games (W0 D2 L4).

Watford are winless in eight away league matches played on Monday (D2 L6) and haven’t won away from home in the top-flight on a Monday since May 1986, winning 5-1 against Chelsea (D3 L8 since).

Christian Eriksen has been directly involved in eight goals in his last seven games in all competitions (5 goals, 3 assists).
